How CS2Bolt Works

A short guide to your balance, your items and every game on CS2Bolt. Each game page also shows its own rules, and every result can be verified on the provably fair page.

Your balance and items

Signing in. You sign in with Steam. We never see your Steam password; Steam confirms who you are and sends us your public Steam ID, name and avatar.

Depositing. Pick accepted, tradable items from your Steam inventory in CS2, Dota 2, Rust or TF2 and send them with a Steam trade offer. Each item must be worth at least $0.06. Items protected by Steam Trade Protection are credited once the protection period has ended and the trade is confirmed as final.

Balance. Your balance is shown in US dollars and is used to play games and to get items from the market. It is site credit, not money, and it cannot be paid out as cash.

Withdrawing. Choose items from the market or from your won items and request a withdrawal. We send them to the Steam Trade URL saved in your settings. Steam may add its own trade holds.

Cases

Every case shows all of its items and the exact chance of each before you open it. Open a case and a roll picks one item according to those chances. The item goes to your items, where you can keep it, sell it back to your balance, use it in the Upgrader or withdraw it. Demo mode lets you try a case without spending anything.

Case Battles

Choose one or more cases and a format: 1 vs 1, 3 way, 4 way or 2 vs 2. Every player opens the same cases, round by round, at the same time. When the last round ends, the player with the highest total value wins every item opened in the battle. In 2 vs 2 the team totals are compared. Empty seats can be filled with bots, and anyone can watch a battle live.

Upgrader

Select up to three of your items, then choose a better item to aim for, either directly or with a quick multiplier such as 2x or 5x. The wheel shows your win chance as a green zone, which depends on how much your items are worth compared with the target. Spin the wheel: if the pointer lands in the green zone you get the target item, otherwise the items you put in are lost.

Coinflip

Create a flip with your items and pick a side, Counter-Terrorists or Terrorists. Another player joins with items worth about the same, within 10% of your stake, or you can play against the bot. Your chance of winning equals your share of the total pot, and the winner takes every item in it.

Plinko

Set your bet, choose how many rows of pegs to use (8, 10, 12, 14 or 16) and a risk level (low, medium or high), then drop the ball. It bounces left or right at every row and lands in a slot with a multiplier shown on the board. Higher risk means a wider spread between the smallest and largest multipliers. Bets range from $0.10 to $250, and you can drop many balls at once or use auto play with a loss limit.

Chicken Crossing

Pick a bet and a difficulty: easy, medium, hard or expert. Each lane the chicken crosses safely raises your multiplier. Cash out whenever you like to collect your winnings; if the chicken is hit before you cash out, the bet is lost. Harder difficulties raise the multiplier faster but make every lane riskier.

Case Creator

Build your own case from 2 to 20 items from any supported game, set the drop rate of each item, choose artwork and publish it. Once your case is live, you earn 1% of the price of every paid open.

How we keep it fair

Every game uses the same provably fair system. Before a round, we show you a hash of a secret server seed. Your own client seed and a round counter are mixed in to produce the roll, and the server seed is revealed once the round is settled. You can check any round, from any game, on the provably fair page or with any independent HMAC SHA256 tool.
