$0.00Upgrading Rust skins: matching names and item types
Rust has skins for different weapons, clothing and deployable items. Start with the item type you want to customize, then compare the exact skin name and value in the target list.
- Choose Rust inputs
Select up to three skins from Your items. Their displayed values are combined into one stake.
- Match the item type
Search for the target skin and check which weapon, clothing piece or deployable it belongs to. Similar artwork can appear on different items.
- Review value and chance
Compare available targets using their listed values. For the same inputs, aiming for a higher-value skin generally lowers your chance.
- Start the spin
A win adds the selected skin to your site inventory. A loss consumes the inputs. You can verify the completed result afterwards.
Good to know
- Skin artwork alone does not identify its item type.
- Cosmetic rarity is different from the chance shown for your upgrade.
- Changing the green zone’s position does not increase its size.
Questions
Can I target a door or clothing skin?
Yes, when that specific skin is available in Target items and is worth more than your inputs.
Does an expensive skin improve weapon damage?
No. Rust skins are cosmetic; price does not give a weapon more damage.
Do matching skin collections improve my chance?
No. The upgrade uses the selected values and displayed chance, not matching artwork or collections.
Can I use skins from different games?
Yes. Filter the input and target panels separately to compare a Rust target with inputs from another supported game.
